My personal background

I am 33 years old, born and raised in Israel. I have a 12 year old dog named Parker, and together we moved to the Netherlands in 2022. We now live in Zaandam with my life partner, Jesse.
I grew up a curious and adventurous kid, which helped me develop into an empathetic person with a big love for asking questions and solving problems. Challenging my mind and body was always a part of my life, and strong intuition came along. I live with a journey mindset. In life, there's only one beginning and end - the rest are stages we go through. Change and improvement are always possible.
My partner likes to joke that I treat my life like a big A/B test. And it's kinda true. With time, I turned myself into a self-optimization machine 😉

I workout 4–5 times a week, I eat healthy, I have a morning routine, and I'm still figuring out my evening one. I like long walks, hiking, and the beach is my happy place. I LOVE traveling - solo, with Parker, with Jesse, friends, and family. I like getting to know new cultures through the people and local cuisine.
I am a good friend, sister, daughter, and partner, and I'm always trying to learn from my relationships to be better for my people and for
the world.

My professional background

I think the most interesting question is what got me into the UX design world, and maybe if you read my personal background you have a solid guess. In short, I can say that it was my love for challenges, experimentation, exploration, and the wish to make this world better for people. People were always the center of my work.
At the age of 18 I became a Crime Investigator. I ranked up over the years and was a decorated officer. I managed a team of 5 to 8 Crime Investigators, was a mentor, and the chief's replacement.

“From Crime Investigations to Neuroscience to UX, people, curiosity, and challenge have always led my way.”

Four years later I left my service to study Neuroscience and Philosophy. I wanted to know more about how we work, how we think, and how to challenge that even more. I now hold a B.A in both.
While studying, I worked as a waitress and experience trainer in one of the best chef's restaurants in Israel. It was all about the personalized experience - from the moment guests came through the door, to taking the order, getting to know them, making sure they enjoy the food and drinks, till the last moment of paying the check.

In 2020 it was time to decide on a career path (didn't you already? twice?). I know, I know. It seems odd, but this is life. I needed to combine all my knowledge, expertise, and passion to understand my next step - one that would keep me challenged and relevant.
UX design was exploding those days. It was during Covid. And Instagram ads knew me better than I could imagine. After I did my research, I knew this was my career path. I took a first course in UX, did my first freelance project, continued with a UI course, and landed my first job in the Netherlands.

Now, in a landscape that keeps on changing faster than a baby changes a shirt, I am on to my next challenge.

AI and I

AI and I

Same as everyone my age and older, my journey with AI started with Microsoft's Clippy. Fast forward 25 years, and again, same as everyone my age, I started exploring ChatGPT as a search engine. Then, in the past year, something clicked. I realized Chat can help me enhance my self-optimization process! And that was its new use.

While on it, I kept hearing and learning about all the amazing things AI can do - in summits where I gave keynotes and others I went to learn. I was mind blown, and shortly after, started implementing it more and more in my work process.
Nowadays, I start every morning with AI news. I make sure I try a couple of tools every week. I optimize my processes, I learn about what it is and how it works (apparently similar to a brain), and I talk about it ALL THE TIME.

I positioned myself as the AI expert of my design team and a thought leader in that field. And if you read everything until now, I think you know as much as me that getting to this point for me was inevitable -
and you also know, I am the person you need in your company.
